In this immersive one-day workshop\, artist and educator Victor Ramos guides you through a contemporary approach to this historic technique\, using digital negatives to create striking\, blue-toned prints by hand. \n\nPerfect for photographers and creatives of all levels\, this class offers a focused\, hands-on introduction to the cyanotype process. You’ll learn how to prepare and print your own digital negatives\, coat paper with light-sensitive chemistry\, and expose your images using natural sunlight or UV light. Throughout the day\, Victor will cover essential topics including paper selection\, chemical mixing\, and exposure techniques\, while also introducing creative methods for toning\, bleaching\, and extending the tonal range of your prints. \n\nWhether you're working with high-resolution digital files or smartphone images\, this workshop will show you how to transform your photographs into beautiful cyanotype prints—no darkroom required. Leave with finished prints in hand and the skills to continue printing on your own. \n\n&nbsp\;\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVictor Ramos is an award winning fine art photographer from Los Angeles\, California. Victor became interested in photography by watching his father take snapshots of the growing family with a 35mm Kodak camera. When Victor was 12\, he asked to borrow the camera. His father never got it back.\n\nVictor is experienced in using silver gelatin\, digital\, platinum / palladium\, cyanotype and gum bichromate printing techniques.\n\nVictor has exhibited in the US and internationally including exhibitions at The Los Angeles Center of Photography\, the dnj Gallery in Santa Monica\, The SoHo Gallery in New York\, the Plaxall Gallery in New York\, the Photoplace Gallery in Vermont\, the HeadOn Photo Festival in Sydney\, Australia\, the Tokyo International Foto Awards\, the Hariban Photo Awards\, Kyoto\, Japan\, The London International Creative Competition and the Analog Sparks Competition.\n\nHis work has been featured\, reviewed and published in the Lenscratch blog \, A Photo Editor blog\, Duncan Miller Gallery Daily Photograph\, Fraction Magazine\, L’Oeil de la Photographie and Digital Photo Pro Magazine.
