DESCRIPTION:Whether you wish to connect with a publisher or choose to self-publish your project\, the costs to produce\, publish and distribute a photobook may be higher than you had imagined. \n\nMary Virginia Swanson will share strategies for seeking partnerships with potential sponsors\, discuss the benefits for applying to photobook dummy competitions\, and offer a reality check on the challenges with crowdfunding to raise the money required to fund  \n\nyour book. Whether your project is in-progress or completed\, this information will be of value to you if you hope to one day publish your work in the book form. \n\nA handout with resources cited will be provided to all registrants. \n\n&nbsp\;\n\n\n\nMary Virginia Swanson is an author\, educator and advisor to artists on bringing their projects to publication. She has been researching + writing about photobooks for over 20 years and is co-author with Darius Himes of Publish Your Photography Book now in its updated Third Edition (Radius Books\, 2023).
