DESCRIPTION:Join now and contribute to a growing national record of the moment through mentorship and visual storytelling\nIncubation\, archive contributions: January 17-August 16\, 2026\nExhibition: August 28-October 10\, 2026 @ LACP\nTimeline is a real-time exploration of our changing world through the photographic lens—a living\, evolving archive built by documentarians\, photojournalists\, and street photographers capturing what is happening right now in the places they call home\, documenting a nation in flux and creating a visual record for next generations.\n\nTimeline invites participants from different cities across the U.S. to contribute to a growing national archive and an exhibition of select and curated images that will be shown at LACP’s home in DTLA.\n\n(Participants should be able to document events and places in person in the location where the workshop takes place.)\n\nThis archive will live on the LACP website\, acting as both a platform and portal—an entry point for exhibitions and public programs in Los Angeles and beyond. We welcome a variety of photographic approaches and conceptual attitudes.\n\nThis project is rooted in creative curiosity and concern\, and the belief that each of us experiences their surroundings through different lenses. As our national discourse is more fragmented than ever\, Timeline looks at the fragments to see the whole more clearly\, intentionally highlighting a multitude of perspectives and viewpoints and encourages a creative multilogue.\n\nCohorts:\n\n 	Los Angeles\, CA with Ibarionex Perello (In-Progress)\n 	San Francisco\, CA with Ed Kashi (In-Progress)\n 	Richmond-Washington\, D.C. Corridor with Shane Rocheleau (Open)\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n\nLACP Members receive tuition discounts. NOT A LACP MEMBER?\nBecome a MEMBER today for $140/year OR $15/month ($85/year for out-of-state residents\; $75/year for students\, educators\, and veterans)\nFormat:\nTimeline unfolds in two phases:\n\n 	January-April 2026: Participants join meet ups at specific events or venues in their respective cities\, pursue individual perspectives and have group crits online. Their select images will be uploaded and shared through LACP’s platforms\, including the website and social media.\n 	April-August 2026: The second half of the program will focus on individual projects\, created under the mentorship of the instructors. These projects can focus on events\, locations people\, or social and local issues.\n 	August 28-October 10\, 2026: An exhibition of selected and curated images from the project will be shown at LACP.\n\nIncluded with Tuition:\n\n 	Crit groups and mentorship sessions in person and online.\n 	Works featured in the virtual Timeline archive.\n\nTuition/Deposit/Refund Policy:\nFor the cohorts in Los Angeles and San Francisco: Member Rate\, $2\,800 OR $375 per month for eight months\; Non-Member Rate\, $3\,000 OR $400 per month for eight months  - per each cohort. If choosing to pay monthly\, the first payment due equates to a deposit. Seven monthly payments will be due after the initial deposit/first payment at the beginning of each month. Deposits are nonrefundable after January 12\, 2026. If refunding before January 12\, 2026\, a $50 admin fee with be withheld. If choosing to pay in full\, a $150 admin fee will be withheld. No refunds are permitted on or January 12\, 2026. Refund requests must be submitted in writing via email to info@lacphoto.org.\n\nFor the cohorts in Richmond-Washington D.C.: Member Rate\, $1\,875 OR $375 per month for five months\; Non-Member Rate\, $2\,000 OR $400 per month for five months.
