DESCRIPTION:The Los Angeles Center of Photography is honored to welcome Jeremy Nobel\, M.D.\, M.P.H.\, Harvard Chan School of Public Health faculty member and founder of Project UnLonely\, for a public presentation in conjunction with Reservoir: Photography\, Loneliness\, and Well-Being.\n\nOn January 29\, from 3:30 to 5:00 PM\, Dr. Nobel will present an in-depth exploration of loneliness as a critical public health issue\, examining its impact on individual and collective well-being. He will also address the role of the arts in mitigating loneliness\, highlighting how creative expression—particularly photography—can foster connection and improve health\, wellbeing and resilience.\n\nDrawing on his work at Harvard\, as well as his leadership of Project UnLonely\, Dr. Nobel’s talk will situate the themes of Reservoir within broader conversations about social determinants of health and the integration of the arts into health and community care.\n\nSpace is limited for this exclusive event.  All participants are invited to attend the opening reception of Reservoir shortly thereafter\, scheduled 6 pm – 8 pm. RSVP Here.\nTickets\nAdmission: $75\n\nSuggested Donation HERE\nAbout Jeremy Nobel\, M.D.\, M.P.H.\nJeremy Nobel\, MD\, MPH\, is a physician\, public health practitioner\, educator\, author and poet. He is the Founder and President of The Foundation for Art &amp;amp\; Healing and its signature initiative Project UnLonely.  He is also a long time faculty member of the Harvard Medical School and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health\, with teaching and research activities that focus on population health\, social determinants of health\, and addressing loneliness as both a personal and public health concern.\n\nWith the unique background and training required to bridge scientific and humanistic disciplines\, he has contributed to significant explorations into how creative expression mitigates illness and enhances wellbeing. He has become a prominent advocate for creative engagement\, ancillary to and integrated with traditional medical care\, as a pathway to healing and resilience.\n\nDr. Nobel’s book published by Penguin Random House in 2023 “Project UnLonely: Healing Our Crisis of Disconnection” unpacks our personal and national experience of loneliness to discover its roots and take steps to find comfort and connection. He clarifies how meaningful connection can be nourished and sustained\, and he reveals that an important component of the healing process is engaging in creativity.
