DESCRIPTION:Online Meeting via Zoom\nTime to join an-ever growing network and peers and deepen your professional development! LACP’s Work Study Program offers an opportunity to gain experience in our various departments while gaining credits to use toward classes.\n\nConsidering joining us? Great! Sign up for the group interview on Wednesday\, May 20\, 6-7 pm PST online via Zoom (and RSVP no later than 5:45 pm PST on May 20).\n\nWhat are we looking for?\nResponsible and courteous candidates\, with excellent customer service skills\, basic understanding of photography fundamentals\, Mac computer proficiency\, ability to work with others\, a desire/passion to learn\, and enthusiasm for photography and the arts.\n\nWhat will you do as a work-study?\nYou will assist LACP across our various department. That might include the administration of our photography workshops\, assisting in the gallery with exhibition and events\, CAing with classes (pending on experience)\, and/or daily administrative tasks while gaining valuable\, hands-on experience in the photo world.\n\nWork-studies are often called upon to support our public and private events\, installations and openings\, and off-site events.  Work-studies appointed as course assistants will be responsible for overseeing select workshops (online and/or in-person) with duties such as setting up the classroom\, assisting the instructor\, helping students as necessary\, loading images onto a Mac computer\, and other tasks as assigned.\n\nWhat can you expect?\nWork-studies are paid in credit at a rate of 25 dollar credits/hour that can be used toward enrolling in a class or workshop. Further\, work-studies appointed as course assistants may\, with instructor and administrative approval\, be permitted to take select workshops at no charge in trade for helping administer the class.\n\nThrough events\, classes and opportunities open to work-studies\, you will be introduced into a creative community and a vibrant hub of photographic activity.
