DESCRIPTION:Online Learning\nHave you ever wanted to delve into the world of collage or discover innovative techniques for combining images? Join artist Sarah Hadley for an immersive online workshop designed to elevate your creative practice through the art of collage. In this class\, Hadley will guide you through a variety of methods employed by both historic and contemporary artists. The workshop will focus on creating collages by hand\, exploring different materials\, textures\, and compositions. You will be encouraged to use your own photos\, magazines\, historic or found photos\, to create dynamically themed compositions. Hadley will discuss concept and color\, as well as how to incorporate Photoshop\, paint and other tools to enhance your collages.\n\nThis workshop is designed for photographers of all levels\, from beginners to advanced practitioners\, who are eager to expand their artistic toolkit and experiment with a new creative processes.\n\nSarah Hadley has been an artist for over 30 years. She began teaching in Chicago at Marwen in the 1990’s and has taught many workshops for the Los Angeles Center of Photography.  Her work has been shown in solo exhibitions at the Griffin Museum of Photography\, the Loyola Museum of Art\, Richard Levy Gallery\, Afterimage Gallery\, and the dnj Gallery\, as well as festivals and art fairs in Italy\, France\, Portugal\, China\, Argentina\, India\, and Australia. Her photographs have been featured in publications and online blogs including\, Le Monde\, Elle Italia\, Marie Claire\, L’Oeil de la Photographie\, ArtTribune\, Lenscratch.com and B+W Magazine. She received grants from the California Center for Cultural Innovation\, the Illinois Arts Council\, and several fellowships from the Ragdale Foundation. Her first monograph “Lost Venice” was published by Damiani Editore in 2020 and is in the collection of the National Museum of Women in the Arts\, the Getty Research Center\, and the Biblioteque Nationale de France.\n\n\nView instructor profile here.
