SUMMARY:The Circle: A Crit Group for Recent Grads
DESCRIPTION:Lead: Janna Ireland\, artist and assistant professor in the Department of Art and Art History at Occidental College (click here for bio)\n\nThis application-based program is designed to provide a creative support network for post undergraduates\, up to five years after graduation. This will be an opportunity to continue creative conversations\, open up to new ideas\, and join a creative community of peers.\n\nThe group will meet once a month for six months in-person @ LACP. Meetings will focus on work presentation and evaluation. Additional skill-development lectures will be organized online (schedule TBA).\n\nAt the end of the incubation period\, the group will have a culminating event\, introducing its participants to the LACP members community.\n\n 	Acceptance is contingent on application. All applicants are expected to join LACP membership - 30 under 30. \n 	Each meeting will include 4 presentations by group members. Participation for all is mandatory.\n 	Applications are due by August 31\, 2026\, and selections for the 12 students participating in The Circle for 2026-20207 will be announced no later than September 15\, 2026.\n\nMeetings timeline:\n\n 	September 25\n 	October 23\n 	November 20\n 	No meeting in December\n 	January 22\n 	February 26\n 	March 26\n\nApplication process:\n\nStep 1 - Please join as a 30 Under 30 Member ($30 for one year).\n\nStep 2 - Please complete this survey monkey form/application and submit.
