SUMMARY:Meet-Up in LA: NCAA March Madness with Seth Greenberg (Hybrid Learning - Two Sessions)
DESCRIPTION:Hybrid Learning (In-Person and Online)\nExperience the energy\, excitement\, and community surrounding NCAA March Madness at the Men’s Basketball West Regional in Los Angeles as part of LACP’s Meet-Up in LA series. This photographic experience invites students to explore the vibrant scene outside the arena in the hours leading up to tip-off\, where passionate fans gather\, team colors fill the streets\, and the anticipation of tournament basketball brings people together. \n\nPhotographers will have the opportunity to capture fan celebrations\, team spirit\, street activity\, pre-game gatherings\, and the sights and interactions that make March Madness a cultural event beyond the court. From expressive portraits and candid moments to the movement and atmosphere of the crowds\, this meet-up offers a dynamic environment to explore observation\, timing\, narrative\, and composition through the photography of people and public life. \n\nThis engaging exploration of Los Angeles is part of LACP’s Meet-Up in LA series of classes\, designed for visual storytellers of all levels. Each class includes an in-person photographic experience centered on a distinctive Los Angeles location or a unique LA event\, followed by an online Zoom session for critique and reflection on the work created. \n\nStudents will develop their photography skills while capturing the eclectic essence of the city—from its neighborhoods and cultural landmarks to its dynamic public gatherings—with a strong focus on narrative and composition. Participants should be familiar with their cameras (digital cameras are strongly encouraged).\n\nThis Meet-Up will focus on the NCAA March Madness.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nSeth Greenberg is an active photographer\, teacher and sports assignment manager.  He has worked in a variety of photography roles including acquisition\, sourcing\, curation\, content management\, licensing\, and client relations.  As Managing Photography Editor at Corbis Images\, he developed and led the action sports division and had the privilege of organizing coverage at eight Olympic Games\, and four FIFA World Cups.
