The Los Angeles Center of Photography is thrilled to unveil our upcoming Retreat Workshops. Five days of immersive workshops in the sun-drenched beauty of San Diego. Here's your chance to learn from the absolute best in the photography world and take your craft to new heights.\n&nbsp\;\n\nThe Workshops:\n\nSharpening Your Photographic Vision: A Master Class with Sam Abell - ONE SEAT LEFT!\n\nThe Photographer's Trifecta: Intention\, Expression\, and Articulation with Aline Smithson - FOUR SEATS LEFT!\n(LACP Members receive tuition discounts)\nNOT A LACP MEMBER?\nBecome a MEMBER today for $125/year OR $13/month ($75/year for out-of-state residents\; $65/year for students\, educators\, and veterans)\nInformation/Schedule\nThe retreat workshops are scheduled Monday - Thursday\, April 8 - 11\, 9 am - 4 pm PST + Friday\, April 12\, 9 am - 12 pm PST\, 2024.  All workshops will be programmed in Balboa Park\, San Diego inside the Museum of Photographic Arts at The San Diego Museum of Art.\n\nOn Sunday\, April 7\, all workshop participants will be invited to partake in a opening mixer with the retreat instructors and LACP staff\, scheduled for later in the afternoon.  The time and location for this mixer is TBD.\n\nThe retreat workshops end with a public event on Friday\, April 12\, 4-6 pm PST\, An Afternoon in the Park with Sam Abell\, Greg Gorman and Aline Smithson PLUS a slideshow presentation of student images worked on during the Photo-Immersive workshop retreat.  (NOTE:  This event will be held at  the San Diego History Center in Casa de Balboa\, directly next to the Museum of Photographic Arts. )\nIncluded with Tuition\n• Opening reception/mixer on Sunday\, April 7\, time and location TBD\n• An Afternoon in the Park PLUS slideshow presentation on Friday\, April 12\, 4-6 pm PST\n• Instructor and course assistant(s)\n• Morning coffee/pastries and lunch on all five workshop days\, April 8-12\nNot included with Tuition\n• Roundtrip airfare to and from San Diego\n• Lodging accommodations\n• Transportation to and from the workshop location\n• Dinners\n\nDeposit/Refund Policy\nA $500 deposit is required to reserve space in the workshop (you may also elect to pay the tuition in full). The balance is due three months prior to the start date. Refund requests arriving three months or greater before the start date will result in loss of deposit ($500). Refund requests arriving two to three months prior to the start date will result in a 50% loss of the workshop fee. No refunds will be provided for requests arriving less than two months prior to the start date.
