About the Exhibition

We are pleased to announce LACP’s Fifth Annual Fine Art Exhibition! The exhibit will show online/virtually and will run from November 10, 2020 – January 10, 2021. The juror and curator, Marisa Caicholo, will select between 25-30 images based on creativity, originality, and quality. There is no limit to the amount of images which can be submitted.

There will be a virtual reception on Saturday, November 14, 4 pm PST, 2020. The juror, Marisa Caicholo, will talk about the work that was selected. This is a public event and all artists chosen for the virtual exhibition will be invited.  All artists in the exhibition will also receive extensive social media coverage.
 

Prizes

1st prize winner receive a $500 cash prize and invited to say a few words/remarks during the virtual opening. Honorable mentions will receive a one year Membership to LACP.($95 value).
 

The Juror

Marisa Caichiolo, Founder/Curator of Building Bridges Art Exchange, Los Angeles, CA

Marisa Caichiolo was born in Argentina. Expertly exploring diverse media that ranges from video art installation to painting and sculpture, She studied in the University of Buenos Aires and has a Master Degree in Art History, Restoration and Psychology. Her works as an artist and her work has been showcased around the world.

Caichiolo is one of the Founders and curator of Building Bridges International Art Foundation <http://www.buildingbridgesartexchange.org/> in Los Angeles, USA. She has been an international art curator and has juried various biennials and important prizes with the Ministry of Culture of Mexico, Morocco, Chile, Argentina, Qatar, and Sharjah. Through traveling exhibitions, international art exchanges, artists in residence programs and cultural education, BBAX enriches the lives of emerging and established artists, local and international, connecting them to curators, critics and the community.

Eligibility and Guidelines

LACP calls for entry are open to all photographers, worldwide. We invite photographers working in all photographic mediums, digital, film, mixed and unique processes to participate. The deadline to send digital files for consideration is Monday, October 5, 12 midnight PST, 2020. There is no limit to the amount of images which can be submitted.
 

Acceptance Notice

The selection process will be judged anonymously. Once the juror has made selections, all entrants will receive an email from LACP with a list of images and artists selected for the show. The selected images and artists’ names will also be posted on LACP’s website.

LACP is not responsible for connecting the selected artists with the juror. In addition, LACP reserves the right not to use a particular selected image(s) for promotional purposes if the image(s) is deemed inappropriate for use on LACP’s social media, newsletter feed, and/or on in any other marketing material.
 

Entry Fee

There is no limit to the amount of images which can be submitted. If submitting more than 10 images, please repeat the payment process as necessary.

$50 for 1-5 images ($25.00 for LACP Members)
$75 for 6-10 images ($37.50 for LACP Members)
$100 for 11-15 images ($50.00 for LACP Members)
$125 for 16-20 images ($62.50 for LACP Members)
$150 for 21-25 images ($75.00 for LACP Members)
$175 for 26-30 images ($87.50 for LACP Members)
$200 for 31-40 images ($100.00 for LACP Members)
$250 for 41-50 images ($125.00 for LACP Members)

Liability and Agreement

Each photographer retains all copyrights to his or her images. Photographers whose submissions are chosen for the exhibition grant the Los Angeles Center of Photography (LACP) the right to use their images for display on LACP’s website and for the purpose of promoting exhibitions, promoting LACP’s programs, and promoting the artist. Promotions and images may also be placed on social networks for LACP with artist credit. Artists grant the use of their image(s) as stated without further contact from LACP. Submission of application will constitute an agreement to all these terms and conditions.
