Building the Photo Ark (and other photos along the way) with Joel Sartore (Webinar)
- January 23, 2021
10:00 am - 11:30 am
Hang out with National Geographic photographer Joel Sartore as he runs the gauntlet, from stories about getting a job with National Geographic to founding “The Photo Ark”, his 25-year effort to photograph every captive species on Earth. Mostly though, you’ll learn how to build great images, including the three most important ingredients of any great frame. A fun, non-technical course for those who care about seeing well, no matter what level shooter you are, or what camera you have on hand. Even a smart phone can take great frames. It’s not the gear, but the mind behind it.
A life-long Nebraskan, Joel Sartore (https://www.joelsartore.com/) (http://photoark.com/) brings a sense of humor and a mid-western work ethic to all of his National Geographic magazine assignments. More than two decades with the National Geographic Society have allowed him to cover everything from the High Arctic to Antarctica, from the Great Rift of Africa to America’s state fairs.
