Film, Digital, Mirrorless … A Long Strange Trip with Joe McNally (Webinar)
- February 13, 2021
10:00 am - 11:30 am
There are not many photographers working today who have had the arc of a career such as Joe McNally. From Tri-x to Kodachrome, to being the last staff photographer at LIFE Magazine, to shooting the first all digital story ever published in the National Geographic, to embracing mirrorless technology, Joe has shot it all. A sought after and engaging teacher and speaker, Joe will take you quickly through the formative times of his career to now, with mirrorless cameras in hand. The keynote will be the constant need as a photographer to keep adapting, keep your eye in the camera, and your heart and mind passionate about the next picture. Funny, direct, and thoroughly honest of the successes and failures of a long career, this will be a bracing lecture, and an informative Q&A.
Joe McNally (https://portfolio.joemcnally.com/index) is an internationally acclaimed photographer whose career has spanned 30 years and included assignments in over 60 countries. Joe was listed by American Photo as one of the “100 Most Important People in Photography” and described by the magazine as perhaps the most versatile photojournalist working today. He has been honored as a member of Kodak-PDN Legends Online, as well as being a Nikon Legend Behind the Lens.
