This one-day workshop introduces students to the joy and beauty of creating memorable food imagery. Whether you are an established photographer, emerging professional, instagrammer, food blogger, chef or culinary writer, this one-day workshop is for you!
Ann Elliott Cutting will share her techniques for beautiful food photography, from both a technical standpoint and also an artistic standpoint. Ann will discuss her approaches to a range of assignment types and the collaborative nature of this field. A food stylist and prop stylist will be on-site to share information about their critical role in this type of collaboration. The beginning of class will be introduction and lecture with slide show, followed by a food shoot demo and hands-on shooting during the middle of the day. At the end of the class, students will upload their work for a group critique-and-edit session. Ann will engage students as they create their own images aesthetics and how to develop a personal style (a skill that can be applied to any type of photography). In all, this will be a day filled with fun, discovery, and a celebration of culinary delights.
Tripods are highly recommended. A complete list of applicable equipment, gear, and props will be provided before the start of class.

Enrollment Limit: 15 students
Skill/Experience Level: Open to all levels, but students should have a working knowledge of their camera and the ability to shoot in manual mode. No lighting experience is necessary
