About
Hybrid Learning (In-Person and Online)
Step into the heart of the entertainment capital with our February meet-up class focused on Historic Hollywood. This iconic neighborhood is brimming with cinematic history, from the star-studded Walk of Fame to the glamorous TCL Chinese Theater and the legendary Hollywood Sign looming above. Students will have the opportunity to capture the contrast of old Hollywood charm with modern-day energy, all while exploring landmarks, hidden gems, and the vibrant street life that makes this area so unique. Whether it’s the glitz and glamour of Hollywood Boulevard or the vintage allure of its art deco architecture, this class invites you to photograph the stories and faces that have shaped Tinseltown’s legacy.
This engaging exploration of Los Angeles is part of LACP’s Meet-Up in LA series of classes, designed for visual storytellers of all levels. Each class includes an in-person excursion to a unique and vibrant area of the city, followed by an online Zoom session for critique and reflection on the work created. Students will develop their photography skills while capturing the eclectic essence of LA, with a focus on narrative and composition. Participants should be familiar with their cameras (digital cameras are strongly encouraged).
The location for this meet-up will be Hollywood.
