Join Michael e. Stern, a practiced time-lapse photographer with 50+ productions in his portfolio as he shares his approach to telling stories through time-lapse. During this webinar several examples of key concepts to successful time-lapse film making will be revealed: interval timing, camera placement, lens choice, static vs. moving cameras, hyper-lapse, stop motion, controlling the result by altering the playback speed and more.

Michael e. Stern ( is a veteran photographic presence who has been shooting, storytelling and teaching for multiple decades. Upon graduating from Art Center College of Design, Michael opened his first studio in the heart of Hollywood. In 2011 after a prolific career as an architectural, product and copy photographer, he moved into the burgeoning field of time-lapse photography specializing in large-scale construction films. After 46 films it was time to pivot into progress or construction documentation. Today he works with some of the largest builders in America. While still doing the occasional time-lapse, Michael also enjoys shooting live-action video for his clients.
