The Los Angeles Center of Photography is pleased to announce Online Portfolio Reviews! Reviews are 20 minute face-to-face meetings with gallery owners, photo editors, museum curators, publishers and other photo professionals. The reviewers have offered to review for us for free or at a reduced rate in order to help LACP. All of the meetings will take place via zoom and you will be asked to send your work and/or a statement to the reviewer ahead of time. You will also be sent instructions as to how to join the zoom meeting.
Jonathan Blaustein, Photographer, Writer and Contributor, A Photo Editor

Jonathan Blaustein is an artist, writer, and educator based in Taos, New Mexico. He has exhibited his work widely in galleries and museums the US, and in festivals in Europe as well. His photographs reside in several important collections, including the Library of Congress, the State of New Mexico, the Brooklyn Museum, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Jonathan is a regular contributor to the popular blog A Photo Editor, as well as the New York Times Lens blog, and taught at UNM-Taos for many years. He has also written about art and photography online for The New Yorker, VICE, and Hyperallergic.
He is most interested in viewing fresh, innovative perspectives in fine art and documentary photography. He’s also open to video projects, but would rather not see commercial photography. As he’s been teaching for many years, Jonathan is also willing to offer constructive feedback for project ideas and execution, when appropriate.
Sherrie Berger, Independent Photography Consultant

Sherrie Berger is a creative collaborator with expertise in entertainment and high-end celebrity portraiture, fine art photography, production, marketing and public relations. She designs and implements strategies for producing photo shoots, creates marketing and publicity campaigns for exhibitions, photography events and special projects. Sherrie offers career coaching and teaches workshops worldwide encouraging photographers to express their authentic vision.
Douglas Marshall, Independent Curator and Consultant at Marshall Contemporary

Douglas Marshall is an independent curator and art consultant based in Los Angeles. Following completion of undergraduate studies in Studio Art at the University of Texas at Austin, Douglas worked as a photographer before moving to the West Coast to pursue a curatorial career in the contemporary art world. There Douglas joined Peter Fetterman Gallery, a leading American dealer of fine art photography, where he held the role of Director and curated dozens of exhibitions, international art-fairs and collector acquisitions. Now independent, Douglas works to bring emerging and international voices in contemporary art to the American market through collaborative projects with artists, galleries, art-fairs and creative start-up organizations. Douglas prefers not to review fashion or commercial photography.
