About
At some point in their careers, most photographers desire to publish a photobook. It may seem easy to accomplish but the road to publication is complex and often confounding. In this webinar, Harvey Stein will demystify the process, explaining how to find a publisher and what to do when they say yes to your project. Whether you have a vague idea or a developed body of work to support your book, this discussion should help you to understand how to proceed. Topics include generating book ideas, writing the book proposal, identifying potential publishers for your book, publisher’s criteria for evaluating proposals, what to present to the publisher, ways of sequencing the images, negotiating the contract, book distribution and sales promotion. This will be a lively discussion with ample time for questions.
