In this webinar, Chris Davies will explain the concepts behind NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) and discuss how photographers can harness the benefits of blockchain technology. Chris will begin by defining what NFTs are and provide a breakdown on why and how artists should embrace NFTs. He’ll address digital versus physical prints, royalties and how to make money with NFTs, how to select the right platforms and marketplaces, social tokens, building a community around your vision and what it takes to launch a successful NFT project. In addition, Chris will touch on copyright and the legal aspects of NFTs, providing a thorough overview for photographers looking to explore the new NFT arena.

Chris Davies (fabrikmedia.com) is a Los Angeles-based creative entrepreneur, publisher, gallery director and graphic designer with extensive expertise in the business aspect of art. A consultant to artists, galleries, art fairs and arts organizations, he specializes in developing cutting edge programs for marketing contemporary art.

The founder and publisher of Fabrik Magazine, an LA-based publication focusing on visual art, Chris also established and produces two international art fairs, Fabrik Expo and Photo Independent. Chris is also founder and director of Fabrik Projects, an LA based art gallery. During the pandemic, he created Artpreneur.tv, a program designed to help artists build their careers, and ArtVirtualy.com, a state-of-the-art 3-D virtual gallery platform. Through his art fairs, gallery and start-ups like Artpreneur and ArtVirtualy, Chris has continually sought to create innovative programs designed to equip artists, galleries, art fairs and other art world entities with the tools they need to excel in the globally competitive art world.
