January Parkos Arnall, Curatorial Associate, Hammer Museum 
An LA native, January Parkos Arnall holds a BFA in Fine Art from the School of the Art Institute in Chicago, an MFA in Photography and Art History from Temple University, Philadelphia and a Phd in Cultural and Museum Studies from Claremont Graduate University. Since 2013, she has overseen public engagement, developed exhibition-related conversations and helped curate exhibitions and residencies at the Hammer Museum. Arnall is happy to review any work but most interested in fine art rather than more commercial work.

Sherrie Berger is a creative collaborator with expertise in entertainment and high-end celebrity portraiture, fine art photography, production, marketing and public relations. She designs and implements strategies for producing photo shoots, creates marketing and publicity campaigns for exhibitions, photography events and special projects. Sherrie offers career coaching and teaches workshops worldwide encouraging photographers to express their authentic vision.
Rudi Bianchi, Photo Collector 
Rudi Bianchi was born in Milano, Italy and moved to New York in 1982 and to Los Angeles in 1985. He has been a collector of photography for over 20 years and his collection has been featured in the Italian Magazine ?Arte?.? In 2015, he was invited to be a panelist at the collector seminar at PhotoLA moderated by Weston Naef and was a panelist at the First Photo Shanghai Collectors? Summit in 2014. Rudi has also been a portfolio reviewer at the MIA Milan Image Art Fair in 2014, a juror for ?Premio Prina?, an Italian Photo Contest held at the Triennale in Milano in 2014 and a curator for Your Daily Photograph.?
Susan Burnstine, Contributor, Black & White Magazine (UK) 
Susan Burnstine is an award winning fine art and commercial photographer originally from Chicago now based in Los Angeles. Susan is represented in galleries across the world, widely published throughout the globe and has also written for several photography magazines, including a monthly column entitled American Connection for Black & White Photography Magazine (UK). Burnstine regularly teaches workshops, is a frequent reviewer and has been invited to curate and act as juror many exhibitions for galleries and festivals across the country. Damiani Editore will publish her second book, Absence Of Being, this fall.
Marisa Caichiolo, Director, Building Bridges Art Foundation 
Marisa Caichiolo was born in Argentina in the Province of Santa Fe. Always interested in mysticism and understanding the inner self of people, she studied Fine Art and Psychology. She is currently the President/CEO and Curator of Building Bridges Art Foundation at Bergamot Station. Building Bridges?is a non profit 501(c) (3) organization dedicated to cultivate an understanding among cultures worldwide through international art exhibitions and artist exchange residency programs. The organization has developed a more focused tactic for cultural exchanges through art and international collaborations. Caicholo is also the Director of Latin Outreach – Art Curator at the LA Art Show/Palm Beach Group and is an artist whose own work?infuses elements of mysticism, ancestral colors and symbolism.?
Andi Campognone, Curator, Lancaster Museum of Art and History 
Andi Campognone has over 25 years of arts experience in the southern California region. She is the Owner/Director of AC Projects, a private consulting organization focused on promoting arts and culture. Projects include developing museum exhibitions, public engagement, mentoring programs and book and film publications of historically relevant southern California artists. Campignone is also the Museum Manager/Curator for the City of Lancaster. She is responsible for the development and maintenance of partnerships and community engagement initiatives with local artists, local businesses, Los Angeles County Arts Commission, Los Angeles County Supervisors office and higher level institutions. She develops curatorial direction for exhibition programming and educational programming and additionally she is directing the Museum accreditation process for MOAH. She has previously served the City of Pomona as Cultural Arts Commissioner where she co-wrote and implemented the City?s Master Cultural Arts Plan and the adopted Arts in Public Places Policy. She volunteers as a regular speaker and mentor to art students at both the undergraduate and graduate level and is on the advisory boards of ARTltd Magazine and Los Angeles Arts Association. She is a current member of ArTTable.

Chris Davies is the Founder and Director of Fabrik Media, which publishes Fabrik Magazine, an art and design magazine?which has profiled major contemporary artists/photographers including Ed Ruscha, Catherine Opie, Alex Prager, Joel Peter-Witkin, David LaChapelle, Julius Shulman and others. Fabrik Media also currently produces two international art fairs in Los Angeles, Photo Independent (and PhotoBook Independent) and Fabrik Expo.?
Julia Dean, Executive Director of the Los Angeles Center of Photography 
Julia Dean is a photographer, educator, and executive director of the Los Angeles Center of Photography. She began her career as an apprentice to pioneering photographer Berenice Abbott. Later, Julia was a photo editor for the Associated Press in New York. She has traveled to more than 45 countries while freelancing for numerous relief groups and magazines. Her extensive teaching experience includes over 33 years at various colleges, universities and educational institutions including the University of Nebraska, Los Angeles Valley College, Los Angeles Southwest College, Santa Monica College, the Santa Fe Workshops, the Maine Photographic Workshops, Oxford University and the Los Angeles Center of Photography. Julia received a Bachelor of Science degree in photography at the Rochester Institute of Technology and a Master of Arts degree in journalism at the University of Nebraska, and is the author/photographer of the award-winning children?s book, A Year on Monhegan Island. Her forte is photojournalism, documentary and street photography. Julia is also interested in helping people edit and sequence work for a book, a slideshow or a portfolio..
Jennifer DeCarlo, Founder/Director jdc Fine Art 
Jennifer DeCarlo has a strong connection to the photographic field through her work in commercial galleries and as a writer.?Ms. DeCarlo established?jdc Fine Art?in 2011, a gallery dedicated to contemporary photography.? Prior to opening the gallery she worked as the Assistant Director at the Schneider Gallery in Chicago. Ms. DeCarlo is active academically and professionally.? She earned her Master of Fine Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and wrote for the international photography association AIPAD for over four years. A seasoned reviewer, Ms. DeCarlo is critical but fair.?Depending on where the work is in process, she is able to help the artist evaluate and reflect on completed work or pause to sharpen the point of work in progress.?She is most interested in reviewing narrative, figurative work, but welcomes seeing other work that explores the creative potential of photography.
Charlie Holland, Archival Manager of Contemporary Photographic Collections 
Charlie Holland has worked in the editorial and commercial photography field in New York and Los Angeles. Charlie was Director of Photography for general interest and entertainment magazines and a Director of Marketing at Universal Studios, Los Angeles. She led the Creative department at Getty Images, Los Angeles, assigning and sourcing photography internationally. Charlie is an Assistant Professor at Art Center College of Design teaching image licensing and marketing and is producing a personal photography project called Ranch Raised Kids about the lives and the futures of kids who live on cattle ranches in northern Arizona. Charlie is currently the senior Archival Assistant for the Theo Westenberger Archives at the Autry Museum of the American West.
Dhyandra Lawson, Curatorial Assistant, Photo Dept., LACMA 
Dhyandra Lawson has been working at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art since 2008 and joined the Wallis Annenberg Photography Department in 2012. She curated the The Magic Medium presented at LACMA (July 11, 2015?February 7, 2016). Other projects have included Robert Mapplethorpe: The Perfect Medium co-presented by LACMA and the J. Paul Getty Museum, as well as, Larry Sultan: Here and Home, organized by LACMA. Current work has focused on building upon LACMA?s collection of over 15,000 photographs.?(Photo by Eric Minh Swenson)
Sarah Lee, Independent Curator 
A longtime Los Angeles gallerist, art and photography curator, critic and art consultant. Most recently, she was owner and director for Sarah Lee Artworks and Projects at Bergamot Station. The gallery?s focus was photography. In addition to being an advisory member of the Queensland Centre for Photography in Australia, Sarah Lee has worked with independent Japanese curator KoKo Yamagashi. Sarah Lee has also served as trustee, Executive Director of and guest curator at the Korean American Museum in Los Angeles, and has been on the Japan-American National Museum?s advisory council since 1995.
Kirk Pederson, Owner/Publisher, Zero+ Publishing 
Kirk Pedersen is a Los Angeles based multidisciplinary artist. He received a M.A. from San Francisco State University and a M.F.A. in painting from Claremont Graduate University. He has exhibited extensively at galleries, art fairs and museums throughout the United States. Internationally, Pedersen?s paintings and photographs have been featured in Germany, Switzerland, The Netherlands, and China, including the Today Art Museum (Beijing) and the Duolun Museum of Modern Art (Shanghai). Since 1997, he has served as professor of painting and drawing at the Mt. San Antonio College. He is the owner and art direction of ZERO+ Publishing, based in Claremont, California.
Andy Romanoff, Correspondent, L?Oeil de la Photographie 
Andy Romanoff is completely self-taught as a photographer and writer. After being thrown out of five high schools in his native Chicago he moved to Los Angeles and spent fifty years working as a cinematographer, specialist camera operator, business exec and always as a photographer. He is a member of the Motion Picture Academy, and an associate member of the American Society of Cinematographers but nothing makes him happier than working as a photojournalist. Since 2014, he has been writing about and photographing the Los Angeles area world of photography for l?Oeil de la Photographie.
Pamela Schoenberg, Owner/Director dnj Gallery 
Pamela Schoenberg has been active in the art world for over 25 years. After receiving her BFA in both History and Photography from Washington University in St. Louis, she then graduated with her MFA in Studio Art/Photography from Mills College in Oakland, California. She studied with Joe Deal and Catherine Wagner consecutively. Schoenberg pursued and exhibited her photography for more than fifteen years before opening dnj Gallery. After graduate school, she lived in Jerusalem and was commissioned to photograph the immigration and acculturation of the Ethiopian Jews. In 1998, she received the ?Artist?In?The?Community? grant from the City of Los Angeles Cultural Affairs Department. Schoenberg has also been involved with many Los Angeles institutions including Barnsdall Municipal Art Gallery where she worked for the education department and developed numerous elementary school programs. During this time, she published an essay for Museum Education of Southern California (MESC) at the 1996 annual conference. Then at the Los Angeles Center for Photographic Studies, she assisted in organizing exhibitions, educational workshops and grant writing.
Dan Shepherd, Gallery Director and Owner, GALLERY 1/1 
Dan Shepherd was raised in the Pacific Northwest, enjoyed many creative years in New York City and Los Angeles and now finds himself based in Seattle. The balance between urban living and love of nature is an ongoing pursuit for him and a universal human theme that drives his artistic practice. When not making art, he loves to champion the art of others. He is the Gallery Director and Owner, GALLERY 1/1 in Seattle, the only gallery in the U.S. to specialize exclusively in unique one-of-a-kind photographic prints. He is also a Guest Editor for LENSCRATCH and a Contributing Writer for Don?t Take Pictures Magazine. Dan is particularly interested in reviewing work with science and nature themes as well as work made with alternative photographic processes.
Aline Smithson, Founder/Editor Lenscratch 
Aline Smithson has given exposure to thousands of photographers over the years, curated and jurored exhibitions, and has been a reviewer at photo festivals across the country. Her own work has been exhibited and published world wide and she has a understanding of the reviewing experience from both sides of the table. Aline is open to all types of fine art photography, but is looking for projects created with intention and deep consideration.
Douglas Stockdale, Founder/Editor of The Photo Book and Independent Curator 
Douglas Stockdale is a photographer, book-artist, International photobook critic and curator. His photographic project Ciociaria is published by Edizioni Punctum (2011) and his photographs are featured on LensWork, Lenscratch, photo-eye and Silvershotz and other on-line platforms. His work is in various permanent collections, including Museo d?Arte Contemporanea di Roma (MACRO, Italy), Reminders Photographic Stronghold (Tokyo) and the Indie Photobook Library (USA). He is the Founder and Editor of The Photo Book, a blog dedicated to commentaries on photo books. Doug was also a contributing curator for the 10?10 American Photobooks and curated the photobook exhibition at FotoGrafia?Festival International di Roma IX.?Most recently, he served as a juror of the Photo Independent ?Photo Book Competition? and provided curatorial talks during the Photo Independent Art Fair. Stockdale will be helpful to any photographer planning at some point to publish or make a photo book. Photographers are encouraged to bring a book dummy for discussion in conjunction with their print portfolio.
Joanna Szupinska-Myers, Curator of Exhibitions, California Museum of Photography 
Joanna Szupinska-Myers is Curator of Exhibitions at the California Museum of Photography, part of UCR ARTSblock in Riverside. She earned her MA in Curatorial Practice at California College of the Arts, San Francisco, and her BA in Art at University of California, Los Angeles. In 2011-12 she was Marjorie Susman Curatorial Fellow at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago. Since she started at the CMP in early 2013, the museum has shifted its focus to exhibiting and collecting work by contemporary artists who use photography and photo-related media. She is most interested in reviewing conceptual and documentary work that deals with contemporary issues of photography and art. She is not interested in discussing commercial or fashion work.
