Join Marcy Palmer to learn about artwork created with silver and gold leaf, as well as the techniques to make your own silver or gold leafed artwork. The class will include an overview and history of artworks and artists that incorporate gold or silver leaf in their work, demonstrations of the techniques used to apply silver and gold leaf, and the creation and discussion of your own artworks using these techniques.

A supply list will be sent to registered students about two weeks before the start date. Estimated cost is $50-$85 (not including shipping).

Marcy Palmer’s work circles around themes of home, beauty, and science. Marcy has an M.F.A. in Photography & Related Media from the School of Visual Arts and a B.S. in Studio Art from Skidmore College.  Marcy’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally at various spaces including The Griffin Museum of Photography, The Brooklyn Museum of Art, The Center for Photographic Art, The Ogden Museum of Southern Art, Colorado Photographic Art Center, The Center for Fine Art Photography, The Berlin Biennial of Fine Art and Documentary Photography (GE), The Watershed Media Centre (UK), and other venues.
