Elizabeth Avedon, Curator and Contributor, L’Oeil de la Photographie 
Elizabeth Avedon has a rich history in photography, collaborating with museums, publishing houses, galleries and artists. She has received awards and recognition for her photography exhibition design and publishing projects, including the retrospective exhibition and book: “Avedon: 1949-1979? for the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Dallas Museum of Fine Arts; and “Richard Avedon: In the American West” for the Amon Carter Museum, the Corcoran Gallery of Art, and The Art Institute of Chicago, among many others. Former Director of Photo-Eye Gallery, Santa Fe and Creative Director for The Gere Foundation, Elizabeth is a regular contributor to’L’Oeil de la Photographie’ profiling notable leaders in the world of Photography. Elizabeth also teaches ‘Book Design + Branding’ in the Masters in Digital Photography program at The School of Visual Arts, New York.
As well as offering her personal critique, Elizabeth is always searching for new work to promote on her Photo-Journal, now in its 6th year. She is interested in reviewing exceptional photography, cohesive bodies of work with a unique perspective; fine art, portraiture, documentary, photojournalism – most everything except abstract.
Sherrie Berger, Photography Consultant 
Sherrie Berger is a creative collaborator with expertise in entertainment and high-end celebrity portraiture, fine art photography, production, marketing and public relations. She designs and implements strategies for producing photo shoots, creates marketing and publicity campaigns for exhibitions, photography events and special projects. Sherrie offers career coaching and teaches workshops worldwide encouraging photographers to express their authentic vision.
Rudi Bianchi, Photo Collector 
Rudi Bianchi was born in Milano, Italy and moved to New York in 1982 and to Los Angeles in 1985. He has been a collector of photography for over 20 years and his collection has been featured in the Italian Magazine “Arte.” In 2015, he was invited to be a panelist at the collector seminar at PhotoLA moderated by Weston Naef and was a panelist at the First Photo Shanghai Collectors’ Summit in 2014. Rudi has also been a portfolio reviewer at the MIA Milan Image Art Fair in 2014, a juror for “Premio Prina,” an Italian Photo Contest held at the Triennale in Milano in 2014 and a curator for Your Daily Photograph.
Jonathan Blaustein, Writer and Contributor, NYTimes Lensblog and Photo Editor, Aphotoeditor.com 
Jonathan Blaustein is an artist, writer, and educator based in Taos, New Mexico. He has exhibited his work widely in galleries and museums the US, and in festivals in Europe as well. His photographs reside in several important collections, including the Library of Congress, the State of New Mexico, the Brooklyn Museum, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Jonathan is a regular contributor to the popular blog A Photo Editor, as well as the New York Times Lens blog, and has taught at UNM-Taos for many years. He has also written about art and photography online for The New Yorker, VICE, and Hyperallergic.
He is most interested in viewing fresh, innovative perspectives in fine art and documentary photography. He’s also open to video projects, but would rather not see commercial photography. As he’s been teaching for many years, Jonathan is also willing to offer constructive feedback for project ideas and execution, when appropriate.
Susan Burnstine, Contributor, Black & White Magazine (UK) 
Susan Burnstine is an award winning fine art and commercial photographer originally from Chicago now based in Los Angeles. Susan is represented in galleries across the world, widely published throughout the globe and has also written for several photography magazines, including a monthly column entitled American Connection for Black & White Photography Magazine (UK). Burnstine regularly teaches workshops, is a frequent reviewer and has been invited to curate and act as juror many exhibitions for galleries and festivals across the country. Damiani Editore will publish her second book, Absence Of Being, this fall.
Kai Caemmerer, Curator, SFO Museum 
Kai Caemmerer is the Curator of Photography at SFO Museum at the San Francisco International Airport. SFO museum is the only AAM accredited museum located within an airport and dedicates galleries throughout the terminals to the exhibition of photographic works. The Museum has regularly exhibited photography for the past thirty years and has featured artists ranging from Imogen Cunningham, Wynn Bullock, and Pirkle Jones, to Linda Connor, Chris McCaw, Binh Danh, and Sean McFarland. www.sfomuseum.org
Brittany Cernansky, Art Producer, Saatchi & Saatchi 
Brittany Cernansky is an Art Producer at Saatchi and Saatchi LA, based in Torrance, California. She started as a project manager, but her love for photography quickly pushed her into the production world. Since joining Saatchi, her main focus has been on the automotive industry, since her biggest client is Toyota USA. However, she’s a huge fan of lifestyle, landscape, and conceptual photography as well, and is always looking to try to bring those shooting styles into the agency. She is also interested in seeing Commercial, Documentary, Photojournalism, Portraits, Still Life, Street photography and Travel photography.
Brian Paul Clamp, Director, ClampArt 
Brian Paul Clamp is the owner and director of ClampArt, a gallery in Chelsea in New York City specializing in modern and contemporary art with an emphasis on photography. ClampArt mounts ten to fifteen exhibitions per year featuring the work of emerging and mid-career artists. Mr. Clamp opened the gallery in 2000 after completing a Master of Arts degree in Critical Studies in Modern Art at Columbia University. For eight years prior to that Mr. Clamp served as the director of a gallery on Manhattan’s Upper East Side specializing in late 19th- and early 20th-century American paintings. Aside from exhibitions at his own gallery space, Clamp has curated numerous photography shows at various venues throughout the United States, and has reviewed photographers’ portfolios at dozens of events over many years. Mr. Clamp is the author of numerous publications on American art to date, and also occasionally contributes written work to various art periodicals.
Mr. Clamp is most interested in reviewing developed and innovative bodies of work suitable for exhibition. All types of imagery are welcome—from documentary to landscape, still life to conceptual. However, Mr. Clamp is not interested in reviewing commercial work intended for stock or advertising.
Aside from offering criticism and critique of the photography itself, Mr. Clamp can also provide advice and direction in terms of promoting projects. In exceptional cases, ClampArt is able to offer exhibition opportunities to artists.
Shana Nys Dambrot, Art Critic and Curator, Art Share LA Board Member 
Shana Nys Dambrot is currently LA Editor for Whitehot Magazine, Contributing Editor to Art Ltd., and a contributor to KCET’s Artbound, Flaunt, Huffington Post, The Creators Project, Fabrik, VS., Palm Springs Life, Art & Cake, and Porter & Sail. She studied Art History at Vassar College, writes loads of essays for art books and exhibition catalogs, curates and/or juries a few exhibitions each year, sometimes publishes short fiction, and speaks in public at galleries, schools, and cultural institutions nationally. She is thrilled to have recently joined the Board of Directors at Art Share L.A. a gem of the Artist District that supports and features emerging artists in all genres.

Chris Davies is the Founder and Director of Fabrik Media, which publishes Fabrik Magazine, an art and design magazine which has profiled major contemporary artists/photographers including Ed Ruscha, Catherine Opie, Alex Prager, Joel Peter-Witkin, David LaChapelle, Julius Shulman and others. Fabrik Media also currently produces 3 international art fairs in Los Angeles – Photo Independent, Fabrik Expo and the Los Angeles Festival of Photography. Davies also runs Fabrik Gallery/Projects (FabrikGallery.net), a group of contemporary photographers who have shown internationally at Fotofever in Paris, Building Bridges Art Exchange and Photo Independent.
Crista Dix, Founder and Director of wall space gallery 
Crista Dix is the Founder and Director of wall space gallery originally opened in Seattle, Washington and now transplanted to Santa Barbara, California. Starting in this creative field as a photographer, collector and lover of the visual image, Crista decided to put down her camera and utilize her years of business management to help promote photographers and photography. With a background in science, business and creative arts, she has created a gallery space that celebrates artists’ vision. Ms. Dix has been a member of numerous panels and discussions, juried creative competitions, including Center for Fine Art Photography in Fort Collins and Photographic Center Northwest, and has participated in major portfolio reviews across the country in Houston, Portland, Los Angeles, Santa Fe and New Orleans.
Emily Gonzalez-Jarrett, Curatorial Associate, Hammer Museum 
Emily Gonzalez-Jarrett is a curatorial associate at Hammer Museum. She has written essays for the Hammer Projects series and contributed to the catalogues for Made in L.A. 2012 and Made in L.A. 2014. In addition to supporting numerous exhibitions, she was the curatorial lead for Hammer Projects: Patricia Esquivias and Hammer Projects: Mary Reid Kelley.
She is happy to look at everything except commercial, fashion, and travel photography.
Nick Haymes, Owner/Director, Little Big Man Gallery

When he’s not photographing, Nick spends his time running Little Big Man Books and Little Big Man Gallery. The gallery is committed to exhibiting works by both established and emerging photographers. Pamela Hassell, Photo Editor, Associated Press

Picture editor and producer Pamela Hassell works in News, editing breaking news and features, at Associated Press. Formerly, she worked as a Director of Photography for Connoisseur and Buzz magazines, and also a Managing Editor of Entertainment at Corbis, where she oversaw U.S. Entertainment and West Coast News. Additionally, she worked as a lead producer assigning global documentary and news photography for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s worldwide missions. She has been honored with numerous awards from Communication Arts and Creativity, for her work as a Director of Photography. Hassell has previously taught Editorial Photography and Portfolio Development at UCLA Extension.
Maiza Hixson, Curator and Co-Director of Santa Barbara CAST 
Maiza Hixson is a performance artist and curator currently based in Santa Barbara, CA as well as Co-Director of the Santa Barbara Center for Art, Science, and Technology (SBCAST). While serving as Chief Curator of the Santa Barbara County Arts Commission from 2015-2017, Hixson curated several public art exhibitions. Prior to working for the DCCA, she was a curatorial assistant at the Fabric Workshop and Museum in Philadelphia and served as Associate Curator of the Contemporary Arts Center in Cincinnati from 2006-2009 where she curated group and solo exhibitions including American Idyll: Contemporary Art and Karaoke and Marilyn Minter: Chewing Color.
Hixson is currently pursuing an MFA as a Regents Fellow at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Hixson studied Art History, Theory, and Criticism and Performance at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She received an M.A. in Critical and Curatorial Studies from the University of Louisville and holds a B.A. in French.
Sarah Lee, Independent Curator 
A longtime Los Angeles gallerist, art and photography curator, critic and art consultant. Most recently, she was owner and director for Sarah Lee Artworks and Projects at Bergamot Station. The gallery?s focus was photography. In addition to being an advisory member of the Queensland Centre for Photography in Australia, Sarah Lee has worked with independent Japanese curator KoKo Yamagashi. Sarah Lee has also served as trustee, Executive Director of and guest curator at the Korean American Museum in Los Angeles, and has been on the Japan-American National Museum?s advisory council since 1995.
Kaycee Olsen, Director, Von Lintel Gallery 
Kaycee Olsen is a gallery director and appraiser based in Los Angeles. She has more than a decade in the art business with professional experience as the owner of Kaycee Olsen Gallery, Christie’s, and as a modern and contemporary art dealer and appraiser. Kaycee’s academic training includes a BA in Art History from the University of Southern California and a BA in Liberal Arts, Art History study abroad at the London Metropolitan University as well as MA studies in Art History. Her affiliations include Art Table, and the Photographic Arts Council, with past affiliations at LACMA including the Modern and Contemporary Art Council, Photographic Arts Council, and Words Without Pictures.
Kaycee is interested in reviewing Documentary, Fine Art, Portraits, Still Life, Street and Landscape Photography.
Eve Schillo, Curatorial Assistant, Photo Department, LACMA 
Eve Schillo, Curatorial Assistant in the Wallis Annenberg Photography Department at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, has been with the museum over 15 years, and has worked on such exhibitions and accompanying publications as Ports of Entry: Williams S. Burroughs and the Arts, Ghost in the Shell: Photography and the Human Soul, 1850-2000, Shifting Tides: Cuban Photography after the Revolution, Made in California, 1900-2000, Trajectories: The Photographic Work of Robbert Flick, A Story of Photography: The Marjorie and Leonard Vernon Collection, and The Sun and Other Stars: Katy Grannan and Charlie White. Among the exhibits she co-curated: Long Exposures: Contemporary Photo Essays, Camera Pictorialists’ in America, Re-SITE-ing the West: Contemporary Photographs, and Fracture: Daido Moriyama.
Aline Smithson, Founder/Editor Lenscratch 
Aline Smithson has given exposure to thousands of photographers over the years, curated and jurored exhibitions, and has been a reviewer at photo festivals across the country. Her own work has been exhibited and published world wide and she has a understanding of the reviewing experience from both sides of the table. Aline is open to all types of fine art photography, but is looking for projects created with intention and deep consideration.
Douglas Stockdale, Founder/Editor The PhotoBook Journal 
Douglas Stockdale is a photographer, book-artist and educator, the Founder/Editor of The PhotoBook Journal and a portfolio submission reviewer for LensCulture. He teaches two popular LACP workshops Introduction to Photo Book Design and Marketing Your Photo Book and is a returning LACP portfolio reviewer. He is published by Punctum Press and has self-published three books, most recently his artist book Bluewater Shore and is in the permanent collection of Museo dArte Contemporanea di Roma (MACRO), Reminders Photographic Stronghold (Tokyo) and Beinecke Rare Books and Manuscripts (Yale U., Boston, MA). Most recently Stockdale was a jurist for Photo Independent’s Photo Book Competition and subsequent exhibition.
Heather Strobo, Curator, The Porch Gallery 
Heather Strobo earned a BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute and a MFA from California Institute of the Arts. Strobo was a three-time recipient of the SFAI Merit Scholarship and awarded the Jane Lyne Scholarship at CalArts. Her photographic series have been exhibited in group and solo shows in San Francisco and Los Angeles. A critical essay on Strobo’s photography appeared in the GLQ published by Duke University Press. In addition to her work as a fine art photographer, Strobo has and has a long history of gallery work, most notably Crown Point Press and Yerba Buena Gardens in San Francisco. In 2013, she and her wife, Lisa Casoni, established Porch Girls Productions to produce, curate, and manage art related exhibitions, events and businesses. Notably, the company manages the Porch Gallery Ojai. The gallery exhibits emerging and established contemporary artists and produces artistic events throughout the Ojai Valley.
Joanna Szupinska-Myers, Curator of Exhibitions, California Museum of Photography 
Joanna Szupinska-Myers is Curator of Exhibitions at the California Museum of Photography, part of UCR ARTSblock in Riverside. She earned her MA in Curatorial Practice at California College of the Arts, San Francisco, and her BA in Art at University of California, Los Angeles. In 2011-12 she was Marjorie Susman Curatorial Fellow at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago. Since she started at the CMP in early 2013, the museum has shifted its focus to exhibiting and collecting work by contemporary artists who use photography and photo-related media. She is most interested in reviewing conceptual and documentary work that deals with contemporary issues of photography and art. She is not interested in discussing commercial or fashion work.
Paula Tognarelli, Executive Director, Griffin Museum of Photography 
Paula Tognarelli is the Executive Director and Curator of the Griffin Museum of Photography. The Griffin Museum of Photography located in Winchester outside Boston, Massachusetts, is a small nonprofit photography museum whose mission is to promote an appreciation of photographic art and a broader understanding of its visual, emotional and social impact. The museum houses 3 galleries and maintains 4 satellite gallery spaces and several virtual on-line galleries as well.
Ms. Tognarelli is responsible for producing over 60 exhibitions a year at the Griffin and its surrounding satellite spaces. She holds an M.S. in Arts Administration from Boston University, BA from Regis College, is a graduate of the New England School of Photography and is a current candidate for her Masters in Education at Lesley University.
