About

“Having grown up on a lake nestled in the Santa Monica Mountains of California, I found my sanctuary amidst the rolling hills of oaks and Malibu Creek State Park. This profound connection with the wild instilled in me a deep respect for our environment and a desire to protect it. My photography is an extension of this passion, capturing the raw essence of nature and highlighting the urgent need for conservation. Through my lens, I want to inspire others to see the beauty of our natural world and understand our critical role in preserving it.”

Christina McFaul graduated from Brooks Institute of Design in 2001. Her art illuminates the interconnectedness between humans and nature, challenging the notion of separation. She continues to foster a bond between children and the natural world by mentoring young artists in nature photography and emphasizing the importance of preserving our shared planet. Her photography has been featured in exhibitions across the US and Europe. Datz Press published her latest book, ‘Sanctuary in the Wild,’ in 2024.
