Unlock the full creative potential of Adobe Lightroom Classic in this eight-week online course that combines essential photo editing workflows with the power of artificial intelligence. Over eight two-hour sessions, students will learn to import, organize, and enhance their digital images efficiently, with a strong emphasis on both traditional and AI-driven techniques. 

The course covers Lightroom’s core tools for batch processing, retouching, local adjustments, and advanced corrections, including white balance, noise reduction, HDR, and panoramic merging. In addition, students will dive into Lightroom Classic’s latest AI features, such as automated retouching, intelligent subject recognition, and seamless background adjustments, all designed to optimize workflows and save time. 

With hands-on exercises and personalized feedback, students will develop a deep understanding of Lightroom’s powerful capabilities, learning how to use AI to speed up editing while maintaining creative control. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced photographer, this course equips you with the skills to enhance your images with precision, efficiency, and artistry. 

Prerequisite: Introduction to Adobe Lightroom Classic or equivalent experience.

Rollence Patugan is a commercial as well as a fine-art photographer who has been a recurring exhibitor for Month of Photography Los Angeles, Smashbox Studios, and City of Brea Art Gallery. He uses both digital and analog formats while taking advantage of today’s technologies by incorporating them into his photography. He is a faculty member of the Santa Monica College Photography Department and is very happy to share his creative and technical skills to students at the Los Angeles Center of Photography.

• Dates: Tuesdays, October 27 – December 15, 6 pm – 8 pm
• Enrollment Limit: 12 students
• Skill/Experience Level: This class is open to students using a Macintosh OSX operating system or a PC Windows operating system. Students should arrive to class with the latest version of the Adobe software installed via the Creative Cloud. For the ultimate online experience, dual monitors are suggested (not required) for this class.
• Prerequisite: Introduction to Adobe Lightroom Classic or equivalent experience.
