Join us for an intimate panel discussion in Balboa Park, San Diego, CA featuring two of the most prominent names in the photo world – Sam Abell and George Nobechi!

Join us for an intimate panel discussion featuring two of the most prominent names in the photo world – Sam Abell and George Nobechi. Moderated by LACP’s executive director, Dr. Rotem Rozental, the discussion will focus on each photographer’s approach to their own art – what interests them the most, what distinguishes a great photograph from an average photograph, and how to effectively tell a story with image-making.
The afternoon will open with a slideshow presentation of student images worked on during Sunscape: Photo-Immersive Getaways, March 23 – 27, 2026 in Balboa Park, San Diego, followed by the panel discussion.
This event is open the general public. Special pricing is given to Medium Photo attendees and members of the Los Angeles Center of Photography, APA San Diego, San Diego History Center, Museum of Photographic Arts, and the San Diego Museum of Art.
