About

In-Person Learning

Join renowned nature and fine art photographer Tony Sweet for a three-day intensive workshop designed to transform the way you see and photograph the natural world. Whether you’re drawn to expansive landscapes, intimate floral portraits, or abstract interpretations of texture and light, this workshop explores techniques that move beyond representation and into personal artistic expression.

Through hands-on field sessions, image reviews, and live demonstrations, Tony will guide participants in creating thoughtful, evocative images that reflect creative intent and emotional resonance. Topics will include compelling composition, working with natural light, abstraction, minimalism, and selective framing—plus creative in-camera techniques such as intentional camera movement (ICM), image swipes, and multiple exposures. Special attention will be given to photographing flowers (from macro to close-ups), intimate scenics, and exploring the dreamlike possibilities of infrared artistry. Post-processing approaches will also be covered, with an emphasis on mood and visual storytelling.

Open to photographers of all levels, this workshop is ideal for those inspired by floral photography, nature as metaphor, and the desire to create work that feels more like painting with a camera than simply documenting the scene.

This course is strictly limited to 12 students.

Tony Sweet comes from an artistic background as a professional jazz artist and professional close-up magician (sleight of hand artist), to professional nature/ fine art photographer, Tony has always sought creative, deeply personal endeavors.
