Master Printer Eric Joseph has been traveling the country to give his signature in-person lecture about inkjet paper and printing photographs. He has been teaching, informing and inspiring photographers in labs, trade shows, galleries, museums, photo clubs, educational workshops and academic campuses for over 13 years. More than just a talk on papers, participants will gain keen insight into the technical aspects, myths and mysteries of digital fine art inkjet printing as well as how the unique personality and character of the wide variety of inkjet papers on the market can transform ordinary images into extraordinary prints.
Showing photographs from Eric Joseph’s personal collection, he will discuss the technical points and aesthetic differences of inkjet papers from the following brands: Arista-II, Awagami, Canson-Infinity, Epson, Hahnemühle, Ilford, Innova and Moab. This workshop will address the one burning question in everyone’s mind, “What paper should I use to print my photographs on?”
Eric Joseph graduated from California State University, Northridge in 1985 with a BA degree in Art, Specializing in Photography. His career at Freestyle Photographic & Imaging Supplies started in 1986 starting as sales person in the retail store working his way up to his current position as Co-President/Chief Products Education, Sales & Support Officer. As a respected industry insider Eric has established a solid reputation as a technical and creative resource in photographic processes, both darkroom and digital.
