About
Much like reservoirs regulate the flow and storage of water, and therefore provide a sense of stability for their communities, this invitation-only collaborative project will incubate new approaches through creative practice, research and engagement.
Now in its second year, LACP’s innovative platform of responses to the global crisis of loneliness extends and welcomes a new group of invited artists from across the country, who are incubating new research and work in dedicated cohorts.
Zooming out to focus on the contributing factors to loneliness, including isolation and mental health, the artists are guided by mentors as they create new work and connect in a micro-community setting.
Alongside this exhibition, happening at LACP, Reservoir’s traveling group exhibition encounters audiences across the world, inviting audiences to feel seen and recognized.
Extending and amplifying LACP’s commitment to nurture connectedness through visual storytelling, this multi-year project brings together artists, master teachers, art centers, curators, publishers, mental health specialists, and technology innovators to incubate, develop and create groundbreaking projects, anchored in the meeting point of visual technologies, mental and physical health and the ebbs and flows of human connection.
The exhibition is accompanied by a catalog. Desing: Caleb Cain Marcus, Luminosity Lab
