* Post Member News on LACP?s Website
LACP will post Member News , such as book signings/launches, press/awards and upcoming/current exhibitions on its website.
* Annual Members? Exhibition
This is an annual juried exhibition. Only Members can enter.
* Listing of Name and Website Link on LACP?s Website
All Members will have their name and a link to their website (if applicable) posted on LACP?s website under “Our Members” (supporting members).
* Chance for Featured LACP Member of the Month
Each month we highlight one of our Members on our website and E-Newsletters.
* Chance for Cover Photo on Catalog
LACP will produce two catalogs a year with a call for a cover photo.
* Discounted Entry Fees for Contests and Exhibitions
All Members receive discounted fees when entering contests and exhibitions. See each contest for specific discounts.
* Free Events (lectures, slideshows, book signings, etc.)
Any LACP event with a fee attached is free to Members.
* Portfolio and Book Nights
This is an event at LACP where people bring portfolios and books to share. This event is open to the public, but only members can show work and books.
* Access to LACP?s Book Library
Our book library boasts over 600 photography books. Members are allowed to check-out books for two weeks at a time.
* And more
The REWARDS:
Your membership keeps LACP alive. It allows us to offer all the privileges listed above and to grow our photographic community. It allows us to offer a mentoring program to at-risk kids through the non-profit, Spark. Your membership allows us to implement a one-year photo program in Boys & Girls Clubs in Los Angeles County. Plus, it allows us to award scholarships for classes for those in need, as well as grants to photographers to help them with their work. Becoming a Member Is the Reward.
