This course teaches students how to create photography associated with a campaign for social change using portraiture as the primary vehicle for expression. Instructor Dana Gluckstein’s book, “DIGNITY: In Honor of the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, will be used as a case study.”

This class is about finding ways to create change locally by shooting in an artful and empowering documentary way. At the same time, the class will demand each student learn and follow the ethics that go along with the profession of social documentary work.
