This week-long course for teens (ages 12-14) is designed to introduce students to the fundamental operations, techniques, and critical vocabulary of digital photography.
In Street Portraiture for Teens, students (ages 15-18) will learn how to capture intimate, unposed portraits in urban environments, honing their ability to spot unique moments and engage with subjects naturally. Led by photographer Todd Felderstein, this hands-on class will develop your storytelling skills, technical expertise, and confidence in creating impactful street portraits, all while pushing your creative boundaries in real-world settings.
In this sequential class to Basic Digital Photography for Teens, students will receive reinforcement in the concepts from the previous class and push toward the next level of photographic expression. Emphasis will be on image capture while practicing sound technical fundamentals. Using the camera to interpret the world around them, students will work toward mastering camera settings, metering techniques, and white balance selection for proper image capture, while engaging in more creative and thought provoking assignments.
