About
Hybrid Learning (In-Person and Online)
Immerse yourself in the dynamic heart of Downtown Los Angeles (DTLA) in this Meet-Up in LA class, where visual storytellers will capture the vibrant urban landscape. This course combines in-person excursions to iconic DTLA locations—such as the Arts District, historic landmarks, and bustling markets—with an online Zoom session for critique and discussion. Students will learn to document the unique stories and diverse cultures that define this ever-evolving cityscape, honing their skills in composition and narrative. Join us to uncover the hidden gems and powerful narratives that DTLA has to offer!
This engaging exploration of Los Angeles is part of LACP’s Meet-Up in LA series of classes, designed for visual storytellers of all levels. Each class includes an in-person excursion to a unique and vibrant area of the city, followed by an online Zoom session for critique and reflection on the work created. Students will develop their photography skills while capturing the eclectic essence of LA, with a focus on narrative and composition. Participants should be familiar with their cameras (digital cameras are strongly encouraged).
The location for this meet-up will be Downtown Los Angeles.
