Steve Hitter

In 1969 after graduating from the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles, Steve began his career as a Magazine Art Director at Petersen Publishing.

In 1970, he moved to advertising, first as an Art Director and then as a Creative Director. Clients included Rossmore Leisure World, Armor All, Hobie Catamarans, Husquvarna Motorcycles and John Cassavetes film “A Woman Under The Influence”.

Steve started his own advertising/design firm in 1976. Clients included the Los Angeles Rams, Carroll Shelby Texas Chili, Chatham Created Gems, Oroamerica, Cole of California, Pepi Fine Jewelry, the Gucci, Theodore and Lanvin Boutiques on Rodeo Drive and Gucci Timepieces.

In 1985, Steve joined Gucci Timepieces as Advertising Director, and was appointed Chief Marketing Officer in 1988. Three years later, Steve and his family moved to Switzerland when he became President of Gucci Timepieces.

During his time in Switzerland, Gucci Timepiece annual production exceeded 1 million units per year with worldwide sales of over $500 million dollars a year.

After moving back to Los Angeles, Steve joined the family Real Estate business and is now the CEO and Managing Partner as well as President of the Hitter Family Foundation.

Steve served as Chairman of the Board of Governors at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and is on the Leadership Cabinet. He is also on the American Board of Sheba Medical Center in Israel and is a Trustee of the ArtCenter College of Design.
