Brandon Gannon

Director of Operations and Education

Brandon Gannon has been the Director of Operations at the Los Angeles Center Photography (LACP) since 2013.  He is primarily responsible for the administration of the organization.  In 2013, Brandon helped initiate and lead the transition from the organization’s priory entity – The Julia Dean Photo Workshops LLC (JDPW) – to its current non-profit status.  Brandon also worked as the Director of Operations for JDPW, having started in 2006.  Over the next decade, Brandon applied his skills to turn a relatively obscure, small organization to one of national prominence and recognition.  LACP is now widely regarded as the leading non-profit photo center on the West Coast. In 2020 and at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Brandon implemented a crucial change and pivot from in-person class experiences to online learning.  Over the next two years, the organization realized more gross income than any year prior and its membership increased nearly two-fold.  In 2021, Brandon was appointed interim Executive Director and served in this capacity for nearly nine months.  During this period of leadership change, Brandon kept LACP steady, keeping focus on serving students and the photographic community.  He is proud to work with an incredibly talented and dedicated team within the organization.  Through their hard work, LACP now stands primed and ready for a new phase in its growth and reach.  Brandon received his Bachelor of Science in Business (BSB) degree from the prestigious Carlson School of Business at the University of Minnesota, graduating with honors.  He currently resides in West Hollywood, California.
