August is Membership Drive Month!
Support the Los Angeles Center of Photography by becoming a Member!
As a non-profit organization, the Los Angeles Center of Photography (LACP) depends on the support of its Members. This month, we ask that you show your support by joining a photo community LACP has helped foster and grow since 1999.
What does Membership give you?
For starters, every month we feature a section online called “Member of the Month.” If you become a Member this month, you’ll be eligible to be featured starting in September, 2017.
Second, all Members can enter our four annual exhibitions (Street Shooting, Fine Art, Members’, and The Creative Portrait) at half price. Our next “CALL FOR ENTRY” will be “The Creative Portrait” exhibition, juried by Ann Jastrab. The deadline for submission is September 11, 2017. Become a Member this month and consider entering your work for this third annual show. (Opening night is November 10, 2017).
But that’s only two of the many perks and benefits Members will receive. Here are several others:
* Listing of Name and Website Link on LACP’s Website
All Members will have their name and a link to their website (if applicable) posted on LACP’s website under Our Members? (supporting members).
* Post Member News on LACP’s Website
LACP will post Member News, such as book signings/launches, press/awards and upcoming/current exhibitions on its website.
* Automatically Eligible to Exhibit Work at Photo Independent
LACP Members can choose to pay to have their work exhibited during Photo Independent Art Fair, the international exposition of contemporary photography. The fair is programmed annually, normally at the end of April.
* Chance to Exhibit Work at photo l.a.
LACP Members will have a chance to exhibit their work during photo l.a, an international photographic art exposition. There will be an annual call for entry with the work selected by a juror.
* Complimentary One-Day Pass at Palm Springs Photo Festival
Receive a free one-day pass at Palm Springs Photo Festival ($85 value). Pass includes one day’s daily registration, any free seminars that day, daily symposium and evening presentation (space permitting).
