About
Hybrid Learning
Discover the art of capturing the city after dark in this hybrid photography class, led by acclaimed photographer Peter Bennett. Designed for photographers of all levels, this course combines three in-person shoot sessions with three engaging online classes, giving you both hands-on practice and in-depth instruction.
In the in-person sessions, you’ll explore iconic urban landscapes and hidden corners, learning to work with low light, long exposures, and dynamic city lights. Capture vibrant street scenes, glowing reflections, and dramatic light trails while Peter guides you through real-time techniques and creative approaches to urban nightscapes.
The online sessions focus on theory, image review, post-processing techniques, and tips for planning night shoots. You’ll gain a deeper understanding of composition, exposure, and color in low-light settings, as well as strategies for turning challenging lighting conditions into striking photographs.
By the end of the course, you’ll have started a portfolio of stunning nighttime images and develop skills to confidently photograph cities after dark. Whether you’re drawn to bustling streets, quiet alleys, or shimmering skylines, this hybrid class will help you see—and capture—the night in a whole new light.
Peter Bennett was born in Queens, New York, and growing up in Greenwich Village, Peter Bennett picked up his first camera and took his first darkroom class at the age of twelve.
